So I’ve Fallen a Bit in Love with Wedding Styling

I attended a friend’s wedding at the weekend and fell even further in love with bridal styling and event planning. The concept of putting together something special for someone on their big day really appeals to me – and being surrounded by all that love during the reception on Saturday evening brought about all sorts of warm and fuzzy feelings (the glasses of white wine probably helped too).

I must admit, I also love getting suited up for an event like this (get a load of the shameless selfie to the right), and there’s something rather exciting about waiting for the bride to walk down the aisle in a killer gown.

I’d be interested to get your take on what you think makes for a great wedding reception. For me, I have to say… the more relaxed the better. The ones I have had the most fun at have been casual affairs where guests from all walks of life feel comfortable (a well-flowing wine always makes the entire thing that little bit more fun-filled, too).

Congrats to my friends Lisa and Scott – it was a glorious wedding and fabulous reception – and I’m now rather keen on the idea of wedding styling (reading Hitched Magazine of late has also helped this desire – it’s the best bridal mag I’ve ever encountered).

What do you think makes for a good wedding reception? Do you love love as much as I do? Drop me a comment below and share your thoughts – I’d love to get your take and read your story.
