Real Room of Connie Sharp - Modern Graphic

Inside a Modern Graphic Living Room.

Creating a space that feels unified and harmonious can be a cinch when you approach it in the right way. This real room from TLC reader Connie Sharpe demonstrates this perfectly. Here’s how her modern graphic living room came together.

The genius move Connie made in her Buff Point home was to take the colours for her space from an existing artwork she had. This is a great way to make sure the room feels cohesive. Connie also meshed a variety of styles – coastal, graphic, modern, scandi and more – which has ensured the room doesn’t feel too themed.

“So many different styles that all work so well together,” Connie explains of the coming together of the various styles. “I wanted to brighten the room and make it feel more cosy and relaxing”.

(This meshing of themes is what I call interior grazing. Click here to read more on that.)

“When the lounge room was complete, I stood back, and it looked just the way I had imagined,” Connie tells me. Is there anything more satisfying than the feeling that you’ve executed the room you envisioned? I think not!

My personal faves in this room are the graphic cushions. Very on trend right now and they make the space feel modern and dynamic. What are your faves?
